Join our client’s dynamic team as an on-site System Administrator in Manhattan, NYC, collaborating with our client to enhance their enterprise IT environment. This role involves managing network infrastructure, servers, Meraki switches, and access points, while also handling laptop imaging, provisioning, Office 365, Active Directory, first-level DNS and DHCP support, Group Policy Object (GPO) creation and configuration, and Hyper-V and VMware virtualization management. Enjoy the flexibility of traveling to various office locations in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx to conduct site surveys and support critical IT operations.  

Position Responsibilities:  

  • Log incidents and requests into the ITSM platform

  • Provide onsite, telephone, remote, and email support

  • Ensure that support requests, including application-specific and others that cannot be resolved within 20 minutes (maximum), are properly routed to Senior Service Desk Engineers or external resources as needed

  • Perform configuration and troubleshooting of Windows Server, first-level DNS, DHCP, VPN Clients, Group Policy, Folder Permissions, Firewalls, Printers, Office 365, Azure VMs, Mac workstations, Meraki switches and access points, and network connectivity issues

  • Create, configure, and apply Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security and configuration standards across the enterprise

  • Configure and manage Hyper-V and VMware virtualization environments

  • Provide technical support for Microsoft Office Applications and Office 365

  • Create and remove user accounts (Active Directory and other systems) according to pre-defined templates or procedures

  • Maintain computer inventory and facilitate ordering of additional equipment when inventory is running low

  • Image and provision laptops for new/existing users

  • Facilitate repairs with equipment vendors

  • Perform Disaster Recovery testing on network infrastructure and servers

  • Conduct site surveys at various locations in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx to assess and optimize IT environments

     

Position Requirements:  

  • Hands-on experience with the following technologies: Windows Desktop Platforms, Windows Server, Exchange Server, Small Business Server, Active Directory, Meraki switches and access points, Firewalls, first-level DNS, DHCP, Azure VMs, Office 365, Mac, and Microsoft Office Applications

  • Experience in creating, configuring, and applying Group Policy Objects (GPOs)

  • Experience in configuring and managing Hyper-V and VMware virtualization environments

  • Availability to work flexible hours is strongly preferred, including occasional travel to other locations in Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions is a plus, including experience in device enrollment, policy configuration, and security management
